But then again, Venice as with other large European cities have their share of the homeless and poor. Usually immigrants who cannot find work or are illegal.

San Marco Platz
There is simply no way to convey the beauty of Venice in photos. In my 2 day weekend, I shot over 350 images. But then enough was enough.

A damn shame
As humans, we are capable of compassion. It doesn’t always show, especially when our food is the issue. I cannot see how we can be so cruel to living beings. My daughter is a vegitarian and has refered me to PETA websites where I have stopped eating meat for a time (short as it was) because of how cruel animals are treated.
Imagine for a moment being one of these pigs… imagine for a moment being an ape or other great animal held in a zoo for the publics “education”. These animals pictured here are raised to feed us, zoo animals are held in prison for their entire lives. What a terrible way to live.

What makes art “Fine”?
In my quest to push towards Fine Art photography, I of course turn to the Internet looking to find inspiration and of course question what others have done before me. In this effort, I am often lead to the conclusion that 1) everyone needs that lucky break where someone that has the ability to make an exhibition happen sees your work, likes it and bingo… things start happening, 2) once it has happened you are on your way and 3) if you happen to have the chance to photograph famous people, well that will certainly not hinder your efforts.
In this search I can offer an example. Now don’t get me wrong, I am sure this person has some incredible work in their portfolio but an image for you to think about can be seen here. Now keep in mind that this print is, and probably has already, sold for $10,000.
So I ask the question… What makes art Fine?
